For nearly two weeks I have been listening, watching and reading about women, the Superbowl and the men they love and how the men they love, love football. If what I have read, heard and seen is accurate it appears that sometimes that these same men love the Superbowl game more than the women who love them.
Now this is a subject that has never been a topic of discussion in my home nor in my relationships. In many if not most of my past relationships I know as much or more than the men I have dated. Of course I am referring to Sports. This fact is no surprise given the fact that for most of my life sports as a pastime, passion and profession have been a major part of my life.
However obviously whoever believes the notion that women and sports are exclusively whether than inclusive are simply how do I say ‘off their rocker.’
I could quote fact and stats but what good would that do. Trust me women enjoy every tick of the clock on game day, every throw of the flag, every first down and goal line stance.
What we do not like about the sport of football is that the Superbowl very seldom lives up to the hype and the commercials and who sings the national anthem and performs the half-time show become the story and not the footnote.
So fellas just for your Information the SuperBowl XLV will be held Sunday February 6, 2011 – 6:30 pm ET on Fox between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers at the new monstrosity Cowboys Stadium in Arlington Texas.
When I read these inane stories written by men of course about women not liking football I am happy to be scared single watching the game on my own tv in my favorite chair controlling the remote. NOW WHAT?
