RunAway Bride a Blessing or a Curse

Runaway Bride…seems to be the theme for B-list Celebrity almost BRIDES for 2011. Can that be a reflection of the times that which we live or is it a reflection of how as a culture we are living…. wasting time?

Now I am not one to talk as I have had my own time on the soapbox of Runaway Bride. So I wonder is it as much of a detriment when you fail to complete the implied agreed upon union leading to marriage or marrying someone that you know you have no intention of completing the agreed upon vows of until death.

Well as an ex-offender I personally feel it is not that you leave as much as it is how you leave. Oh and I have also been left and there was nothing fun or good about that experience whatsoever.

However by the time I read about the Dallas Cowboy WR Roy Williams engagement to the ex-Miss Texas USA Brooke Daniels the union was over before it started. The engagement was over but the mess was just beginning and of course the $76,000 ring given to the Runaway Bride is at the center of controversy. My first thought was Judge Judy would have a field day with this case.

It has been said that you can see your end at the beginning and I guess when you receive in the mail, a $5000 check for dental bills and school, a signed autograph ball for your brother and a taped marriage proposal with a engagement ring value of $76,000 USD, it is safe to say this was not an engagement that had an auspicious beginning. Unless of course you were laying odds that it was one-sided, and sure to fail. I am just saying. Unless Mr. Williams was serving duty oversees what on this side of civility, good manners and common sense would cause him to send a sentimental and valuable ring in the mail. Maybe its only real value was in is monetary nature.

Whatever it’s value Brooke broke the engagement, refused to give back the bauble oh because she said she lost it. As If duh! I do not need to tell you that while Roy skipped Judge Judy. He did file a lawsuit after filing a claim with the insurer who determined it was not lost. I am sure you can guess what happened next. Yes the ring miraculously found its way into the hands of her father Michael Daniels. Who has been quoted saying” I want to wash my hands of it. It’s just a hassle. I’ll take care of my daughter. I don’t need him”

My question is where was this chivalrous attitude when she was accepting $5000 for school and dental work? Better yet what happened to that Miss Texas scholarship money?
Remember we are not here to point fingers because of course that leaves one or maybe two fingers pointing back.

Take heed and remember fellas if you are going to send a ring and a tape to ask a gal to marry you…you are going to get exactly what you gave…
Proverbs 13:16 Every prudent man acts out of knowledge, but a fool exposes his folly.

If it happened to Hugh (Hefner) it can happen to anyone,,,,Runaway Bride number 2 Crystal Harris....I think Holly Mundon is looking a lot like the Golden Girl who got away instead of Runaway.....sigh!
