Number One Tip  (#1) For A Successful First Date

Number one thing to remember about a First Date is you never get a second chance to make a first impression.  If you are single and scared, scared because you are newly divorced or just plain sick and scared of another first date. Take a moment and remember this is not your first pony ride and what does not kill you will only work to embarrass you, improve you or keep you from making the same mistakes twice.

I recently read an article in Askmen written by Heidi Muller,  that stated (and I paraphrase) a good first date would be at a COMEDY CLUB.  Okay the thought that a first date should be at or anywhere near a Comedy Club is an hilarious thought. I guess if you have no intention of talking and getting to know your date it is the perfect venue. Oh wait make sure to get a seat up front so that the comedian can heckle you for being foolish enough for being on a first date at a COMEDY CLUB.  http://www.askmen.com/dating/heidi/heidi1.html

In addition to reading the article in Askmen.com I recently read an article in UK's The Sun about an English woman beautician Annette Baylin, 43 from Hainault, Essex 1 year diary on dating after her divorce in 2009. She too was scared of dating after she was newly divorced with two kids. Interesting but typical except she believes she has possibly met her mate (no pun intended but if the colloquial slang works) an American man named Alex, who she met online. A site titled oddly enough I Love Your Accent.  Wether you love it or hate the notion of online dating you have to admit there is a web-site for everything and everyone. http://www.iloveyouraccent.com/home/ Over approximate 10 months she has met Alex twice for dinner in London an American bloke  ---oh never mind you need to read this story for yourself ......so please click on and read and by all means make up your own mind.

The one constant thread of both articles in that each person in their own way is 'Keeping Hope Alive' in the areas of finding Love.  But...and I say 'But' I always thought Love was supposed to find you.

Is there such a thing as First Date Etiquette that guarantees a SUCCESSFUL DATE?  There is no easy answer I can say it depends on the two individuals.
My advise is to stick to what works 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always  perseveres. Love never fails.
